The University of Zakho held a key meeting to discuss organizational and academic preparations for the upcoming International Conference on Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The meeting was chaired by Dr. Diyar A. Saeed, President of the University of Zakho, and attended by the vice presidents and members of the University Council. Discussions focused on conference planning, including arrangements for hosting guests and researchers, as well as the implementation of the scientific program. Responsibilities were assigned to specialized committees to ensure the successful organization of the event.

The conference is scheduled to take place on June 17–18, 2026, as a joint academic initiative involving the University of Zakho, Duhok Polytechnic University, Şırnak University, Soran University, and Akre University for Applied Sciences.
